Progressive side wagers: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker often offer one of these. You typically place a wager ($1 is the usual amt.) to try to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Although huge jackpots like these are extremely tempting, they are also very hard to succeed. You would need to get a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this wager. Also, think about this- you wager 20 hands and make the side wager each time. That is twenty dollars you should have used towards the actual game wager in place of a sucker bet. Imagine what you could have been able to win at a wager with more favorable odds utilizing that twenty dollars.
Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 zeroes on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just 1. This shifts the complete house advantage from 2percent with a single zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The single number bet has only a one in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very big odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red wagers instead which have a much lower casino edge.
Keno: Any variation of Keno, and regardless of how you wager on it, the house edge can be a whopping 25%. Yes, that was not a typo. Because of the huge amount of numbers you have to pick, it’s not recommended to play Keno to often. A few times for entertainment, perhaps. But don’t spend all your cash on it or you’ll immediately find yourself bankrupt.
